Authority Solutions, a Houston-based digital marketing agency founded in 2014, has awarded its Fall 2026 Future Leaders Scholarship to Camille Kayyem, an incoming first-year student at the University of Tampa in Tampa, Florida. The $500 award supports students pursuing degrees in digital marketing, artificial intelligence, computer science, and related fields at accredited U.S. institutions. Selection was based on a required essay examining how artificial intelligence is changing the way businesses connect with customers online. Funds are disbursed September 1, 2026.
Kayyem was admitted to the University of Tampa for the Fall 2026 term and is enrolled in the Communication and Media Studies BA program in the College of Arts and Letters. Her application included three letters of recommendation and a portfolio submission.
“Receiving this scholarship means a lot to me as I begin my freshman year at the University of Tampa. As a student-athlete pursuing my interests in marketing, media and communications, I’m grateful for the support toward my education and excited to keep learning how technology and creativity can make an impact,” Kayyem said. At her request, the award is being applied directly to her tuition account at the University of Tampa.
Her essay identified personalization as the primary mechanism by which artificial intelligence changes digital marketing, arguing that relevance rather than volume determines whether a message reaches anyone. The essay also addressed the limits of automation in creative work and raised the ethical obligations of companies deploying AI against customer data, a topic the prompt did not ask about. According to Authority Solutions, essay quality carries the greatest weight in the selection process, ahead of optional letters of recommendation and portfolio submissions.
Award Terms and Eligibility Criteria for the Fall 2026 Cycle
- Award amount is $500 per semester, with two recipients selected annually, one in Fall and one in Spring, for $1,000 awarded per year.
- Applicants must hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and complete at least 10 credit hours during the award semester.
- Eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens and permanent residents who are currently enrolled undergraduate students or high school seniors with confirmed college enrollment for the upcoming semester.
- Qualifying fields of study include marketing, digital marketing, computer science, information technology, artificial intelligence, web development, and graphic design, along with related fields including business and communications.
- Every applicant answers the same prompt: how artificial intelligence is changing the future of digital marketing, and one way AI could transform how businesses connect with customers online. The required length is 500 to 750 words.
- Proof of enrollment is mandatory, submitted as an unofficial transcript or enrollment verification document.
- Applications for the Fall 2026 cycle opened March 1 and closed June 30, 2026, with funds disbursed directly to the recipient on September 1.
